Arsenal moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League with a 5-0 hammering of Chelsea as the Premier League returned after the international break. Bukayo Saka, Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli put the Gunners in cruise control by half-time before a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang penalty and a Thomas Partey header wrapped up a thumping win.
The victory sees Arsenal move above Manchester City, who face Liverpool on Sunday, and extends their unbeaten start to the season to seven games.
Chelsea, meanwhile, remain winless in their last five games and have now slipped down to eighth in the table.
Speaking after the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said he was "delighted" with his team's performance.
"We played with a lot of energy and intensity, and we created a lot of chances," he said. "We were very clinical in front of goal, and we defended well as a team."
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admitted that his team were "outplayed" by Arsenal.
"We didn't start well, and we never really recovered," he said. "Arsenal were the better team today, and they deserved to win."
